HAND of Light
2002
Mexican Alabaster
19 x 12 x 10 inches
This piece expresses the sculptor’s grasp, literally - his five-digits and palm are a creator’s primary body- tool. To emphasize its power, he used Mexican translucent alabaster, intending a light behind the work to emphasize the hand’s latent glow and capacity for bringing form into three dimensional life.
